MEI 62
Overview
MEI-62 (Naval Brass Grade 1, CuZn36Sn1) has higher copper and tin content than Grade 2, providing superior corrosion resistance and improved ductility.
Highly resistant to dezincification and seawater corrosion at elevated temperatures. Forgeability rating 90%.

MEI-62 Naval Brass is highly resistant to dezincification, greatly inhibiting seawater corrosion at higher-than-normal temperatures. Resistant to wear, fatigue, galling and stress corrosion cracking. The higher copper content relative to Grade 2 provides enhanced corrosion resistance and ductility in marine environments.
